BOOKING CONDITIONS

1. The course fee or minimum deposit of £20 must accompany the booking application. Any balance is due 2 weeks prior to the
commencement of the activity booked.
2. Reservations made over the telephone must be confirmed with a completed booking application within 7 days.
3. In the event of any cancellation more than 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the activity IYWAC will refund any monies
paid with the exception of the minimum deposit. In the event of any cancellation within 2 weeks of the commencement of the
activity, IYWAC may reschedule the activity if possible; the full course fee will be due. The Centre would like to advise that if
you wish to be covered for cancellation that you take out a suitable insurance policy.
4. Any student under 18 years of age on the date of commencement of any water activity must have permission to participate
from their parent or legal guardian. The relevant signature on the booking form will be deemed as proof of permission.
5. The minimum age of a student is 9 years.
6. Courses are run for young people (aged 19 and under) exclusively. Courses that are open to adults are advertised as such or
have two course prices (the higher price is applicable to adults).
7. The Centre must be informed, in advance of any activity, of any student undergoing medical treatment or suffering from a
medical condition or disability which may affect their performance, e.g.; Heart condition, diabetes, epilepsy, asthma, giddy
spells, etc.
8. Any student participating in Single-handed Sailing or Canoeing should be able to swim a minimum distance of 25 metres in
light clothing and be confident in the water.
9. All participants must have the necessary pre course experience stated in the course description.
10. For reasons of safety, all students and leaders must follow the instructions of the senior instructor in charge.
11. Parents/Guardians should make arrangements for their children to arrive at the Centre in time for the commencement of the
course and be collected at the end of activities (times notified in confirmation letter). Please inform the Centre if children are
allowed to make their own way home by indicating on the booking form.
12. Whilst every effort will be made to operate the activity programme as described in this brochure, the Centre reserves the
right to withdraw any cruise, course or other activity without notice as circumstances may dictate: in particular where insufficient
bookings have been received. In such circumstances IYWAC normally offers the following alternatives; i) an alternative activity
on the same date; ii) the same activity on an alternative date; or iii) a full refund. PLEASE NOTE: IYWAC does not accept
responsibility for curtailment or cancellation due to Weather, Strikes, Riots, Wars or other causes outside the control of the
Company.
